Set primarily in **[[Tallon City|Tallon]] City**, the party has fought to defend it from **cultists, demons, and warlords**, uncovering the sinister plans of the **[[The White Spears|Cult of the Last Days]]**, who wield corrupted divine shards to reshape the world. Alongside military battles and supernatural conflicts, the party contends with **Fae Court politics, lost technology, and the resurfacing of forgotten legends**—including [[T.H.E.M|THEM]]'s connection to ancient warforged, [[Maria v'mova|Maria]]’s struggle against her monstrous past, [[Myria]]’s ties to vampiric bloodlines, and [[Viv]]’s link to divine forces. As they prepare for their next mission to **[[Westvale]]**, where all contact has been lost, they face not just external enemies but the weight of their own histories, the shifting balance of power, and the question of what it truly means to be a hero.

## Recap
Following the defeat of Magnus deep within the Vault, the party was left standing amidst a rapidly destabilizing environment. Cracks spread across the Vault’s ancient walls and silver mist rolled over the remains of their enemies. Maria, still reeling from the events, immediately confronted Ava, demanding answers regarding Tiresias’ son. Ava confirmed that the soul had been safely removed by the [[Architect]], but the body was beyond saving. Maria’s frustration and guilt deepened, feeling that due process and higher arbitration had been circumvented.
Amidst the mounting tension, Myria suddenly vanished in a swirl of gray mist. Maria rushed to where she disappeared, finding nothing but air. Moments later, Myria reappeared — physically intact but visibly changed — cradling a massive crystalline egg pulsing with multicolored internal light. When pressed by Viv, Myria refused to disclose the Egg’s full nature, only asserting that it must be protected at all costs.
Attention turned quickly to the Simulacrum Machine, still dangerously active. Ava’s assessment confirmed that it was within two days of completing an artificial being, and if left unchecked, it would trigger further Vault collapse. Maria demanded immediate shutdown, which Ava began under her supervision.
During inspection, Ava located Magnus’ staff among the debris. Without hesitation, Ava picked up the staff — an act that immediately unsettled Maria and Viv. Myria cast Identify, confirming the artifact was a cursed Staff of the Archmage, a legendary relic of transformation and creation magic. A fierce argument broke out: Maria wanted it contained and secured, while Viv and Myria pushed for immediate disposal.
Myria, sensing deeper corruption, paralyzed Ava with Hold Person. Maria seized the staff and resisted its powerful mental intrusion through immense willpower. With the help of summoned ghouls, Maria physically dragged the staff across the Vault floor and hurled it into the abyss. The staff’s presence was severed immediately, freeing Ava from corruption.
Shutdown of the Simulacrum Machine continued. Eleven elemental shards were extracted, though radiant and psychic shards were notably missing. As the final stages of shutdown approached, the Genesis Core destabilized violently. Honor, Viv’s summoned companion, attempted to catch it but was instantly disintegrated. Viv reacted instantly, leaping to intercept the Core, succeeding at great risk to himself.
With the Core stabilized and shutdown complete, Kalani offered the party a way out of the collapsing Vault via phase-shift teleportation. Linking hands, they endured a violent, nauseating transition through the weave and reappeared safely at the Vault’s entrance. Behind them, the Vault began its final controlled collapse.
Returning to Necra-camp under cold rain, the party collapsed into exhausted rest.

The following morning, Maria resumed her role immediately, receiving Sending communications from the Epoch, which requested landing instructions. She recommended the northern clearing. Maria then began the arduous Genesis Lantern ritual, committing to a week of daily, twelve-hour sessions to contain and shape the Core’s raw energy.
Myria rose early and escorted Scribbles to the Vault’s Central Library under Kalani’s watch. After securing Scribbles’ supervision, Myria returned to camp to prepare fey-augmented crafting projects, using salvaged Goose Hydra components and Vault residues.
Viv, recovering from exhaustion, resumed rogue training without his cloaking gear, filing detailed Talon reports on the Genesis Core recovery, Magnus’ destruction, the Shardkhan Egg, and the lost Staff of the Archmage. He noted the continued absence of his mother, Bygrove, who remained on a scouting mission.
Midday brought news that Epoch’s arrival was delayed due to survivor rescue operations, shifting arrival to the following evening or morning.
The camp settled into routine activities: Maria worked on ritual progress, Myria on crafting enchantments, and Viv on security drills and administrative duties. Rain continued steadily.
That night, Myria returned to her tent early, only to be interrupted by a silent rift in reality. From it stepped Raine, a being covered in flowing script and glyphs. Raine demanded full testimony regarding the Egg. Myria complied, detailing her disappearance into the Phage, her encounter with the Shardkhan remnant, and the circumstances by which she obtained the Egg.
Raine confirmed Myria’s true name had shifted — a profound metaphysical change marking her progression toward a higher state of being. Raine instructed that Sarkos, a hidden sanctuary for relic containment, must be contacted. After confirming all details, Raine took physical custody of the Shardkhan Egg, ensuring it would be secured beyond mortal reach. Raine then departed through another planar tear, leaving Myria alone, relieved of her direct responsibility but filled with new existential uncertainties.

The next day continued under heavy rain. Maria pressed further into her Genesis Lantern work. Myria refined spellcraft designs using elemental and fey influences. Viv completed security preparations and final Talon paperwork.
Late in the afternoon, Maria received final confirmation: Epoch was minutes from arrival.
Camp guards stood down under her command, and the northern clearing was hastily prepared. The sky fractured with glyphic light as the Epoch descended — a massive silver-and-black fortress-ship, stabilizing above Necra-camp.
Pal, a member of Epoch’s crew, shouted gleefully at the sight of Buddy, and the two reunited with a crushing embrace.
The camp stood in awe beneath the ship.
Maria, Myria, and Viv watched solemnly, each aware that a new phase of their mission had begun — one that would demand more from them than ever before.
The session ended as the rain fell softly over Camp 17, the Epoch humming gently overhead.
